Pohick Bay Regional Park

Description

Pohick Bay Regional Park is a multi-use recreational park that offers wildlife viewing opportunities in addition to picnic areas, a campground, disc golf course, mini golf course, boat rental facility and a golf course. Five miles of trails wind through the forest that blankets this 1,000-acre complex. The deciduous forest is home to several species of breeding birds and significant numbers of migrants during spring and fall. Visitors can view the protected Pohick-Accotink estuary from trails and the boat ramp. The park also offers guided canoe, kayak and stand-up paddle boarding tours. Volunteers maintain eastern bluebird nest box trails, offering spectacular views of these stunning birds. Canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards are available for rent on weekends to view the wildlife from a different perspective. A trail map is available in the camp store.
